INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Experience must be documented on your application)
Candidate must have at least one (1) year of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of a Maintenance Technical School/Program. (education must be documented on the application to be considered)

POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Full-Time
Pay Range: $22.35/HR - $31.95/HR (pay depends on experience)
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic person is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility and machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Install facility machinery.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
- Program PLC's.
- Perform maintenance on facility.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide on-the-job training to new team members.
- Maintain and promote team member interest in safety.
- Help supervisors and leads with safety awareness, including informing supervisors of unsafe practices observed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced skills preferred in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, welding, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, or PLC programming.
- Must be able and willing to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Forklift certification upon hire.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel-toed work boots, ear plugs, hair net, hard hat, beard net (if applicable), chain glove, chain sleeve, belly guard, cutting glover (knife hand), wrist guard and smock. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT:
Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to steel-toed work boots, hardhats, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), respirator (if required), and flame-retardant clothing (if applicable).
