About the Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist will manage communication, branding, and outreach efforts for healthcare cybersecurity and medical device security projects. This role emphasizes developing and executing strategies across web, HubSpot, social media, print, and events to engage academic partners, industry collaborators, government sponsors, and the public. The specialist will collaborate closely with the Multimedia Production Specialist to ensure that messaging and campaigns are supported with engaging video, graphics, and other multimedia content.

This position is 100% externally funded and will be reappointed on an annual basis based on the continued availability of funding.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for research, outreach, and partnership engagement.

  • Write, edit, and distribute newsletters, press releases, reports, website

    content; manage HubSpot and social media with analytics and reporting

  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across communications;

    coordinate outreach for conferences, workshops, and sponsor interactions

  • Collaborate with the Multimedia Production Specialist to align campaigns

    with multimedia content and explore new opportunities for visibility and

    engagement

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have proven experience developing and managing digital marketing campaigns, strong writing and storytelling skills, and familiarity with HubSpot, content management systems, analytics, and SEO practices. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in academic, research, or technical settings is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field; Master’s preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and communications, including social media management, HubSpot campaigns, web content, and analytics

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO, and social media analytics

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects

  • Experience working in academic, research, or technical environments preferred

Compensation Grade/Pay Type:

108S

Expected Hiring Range:

$60,315.00 - $85,192.50

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
