Requistion TitleCoord Spiritual Bereavement- Hospice Family Care- (FT) 1st shift

Provides spiritual and emotional support in both our hospice’s inpatient and outpatient patients/families and team members as requested. Applicant must have the ability to provide spiritual support to diverse religious preferences and cultures, and coordinate with other spiritual leaders in the community to meet the needs of terminally ill patients and families.

Education required: Graduate of an accredited school of Theology or divinity, or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry

License, Certification and/or Registration: Must have valid Alabama driver’s license and automobile liability insurance

Experience: Providing pastoral/chaplain services fostering support.

Additional Skills/Abilitites:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of Theology or divinity, or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
2. Must be compassionate and able to communicate effectively.
3. Must have own transportation.
4. Must have valid Alabama driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
5. Must support the philosophy, goals, and objectives of HFC.
6. Must be able to provide spiritual support that is non-judgmental and interdenominational.
7. Must be able to be open, flexible and ecumenical.
