Job Summary
This role will be responsible for supporting Payroll accounting activities for assigned countries/entities.
The Accountant will work closely with the Payroll Manager, Corporate Finance team, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant accounting, reconciliation, and reporting activities. This position will support month-end close, payroll accounting, and internal control compliance across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
• Support payroll accounting activities including payroll journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and related reporting
• Ensure payroll accounting activities are completed accurately and within established timelines
• Support month-end and year-end close activities for assigned countries/entities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, tax regulations, and internal control requirements
• Collaborate with HR, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, and local finance teams to support payroll and asset accounting activities
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries
• Assist in process improvement, automation, standardization, and process migration initiatives
• Support ERP implementation, enhancement, and finance transformation projects as needed
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of SOPs, process documentation, and reporting schedules
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Payroll accounting
• Shared Services Center (SSC) / GBS experience is preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles, payroll accounting, and internal controls
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills
