Assistant Boutique Manager at MSC Cruises

Your Purpose

As Assistant Boutique Manager, you will support the Boutique Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the onboard boutiques while delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our guests. You will contribute to maintaining high retail standards, supporting team coordination, and creating a professional and welcoming environment aligned with MSC Cruises’ luxury hospitality values. This role is key in supporting operational consistency, assisting new team members during onboarding, and strengthening collaboration across departments onboard.

Your Impact

You will play an important role in driving guest satisfaction and supporting the achievement of retail sales targets through excellent customer service, strong operational support, and effective team collaboration. By assisting with merchandising, stock organization, and daily retail activities, you will help ensure that onboard boutiques operate efficiently and consistently across the fleet. Your contribution will support stronger team management, clearer role alignment, and a premium retail experience for guests sailing with MSC Cruises.

Your Journey So Far

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• High school graduate or equivalent qualification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Assistant Boutique Manager onboard a cruise ship, or similar role

• Successful completion of MSC Shops’ internal promotion plan from Shop Seller is considered an advantage

• Proven experience in retail operations and customer service

• Experience working in multicultural and fast-paced environments

• Previous cruise ship experience preferred

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Fluent spoken and written English (minimum B1 level required)

• Additional European languages are considered an advantage depending on itinerary

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential

• Organized, proactive, and guest-focused attitude

• Ability to work onboard for extended periods in an international environment

• Professional appearance and strong customer service approach

• Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic operational needs onboard
