Job Description
The Head of Accounting & Finance will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls for a our client, a growing manufacturing company in Gwinnett County.
This role partners closely with operations and executive leadership to drive profitability, improve processes, and ensure financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and fixed assets
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Partner with operations to analyze production costs, margins, and efficiency metrics
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations
- Coordinate audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Drive process improvements and ERP system optimization
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
