
Production Control Material Handling Assistant Manager
Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Material Handling Assistant Manager plays a critical role in support to Material Handling operations. They are responsible for OS&D, Billing, PIV+Facilities+Equipment, Shop floor & rack labeling, PRs, Hardware, SAP material handling support.
• Material Handling support-shop floor labeling
• PRs process
• Material Handling support-SAP parts ordering and others.
• Oversee OS&D process.
• Serves as liaison between HMGMA and Hyundai affiliates regarding Production Control billing.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and development of team.
• Implements Kanban systems to control the flow of materials and trigger reordering when inventory levels reach replenishment thresholds.
• Removes roadblocks and resolves problems delaying the progress of projects and department milestones.
• Ensures the appropriate material handling equipment (forklifts, tuggers, PDAs, etc.) is procured and delivered according by date of need/use.
• Supports Material Handling by conducting root cause analysis to eliminate and mitigate issues on manpower, materials, methods, and machine.
• Responsible for all new model launch milestones related to packaging and material handling activities.
• Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, monitor progress, assess performance, and make informed decisions.
• Continuously evaluates cost reduction improvements in material flow and container packaging.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.
