This position is for an experienced Process Improvement chemical engineer in the Methanolysis Process Development group within the Polyester Renewal Technology Development Division (PRTD) in Technology. This role will be supporting the Methanolysis area with a focus on driving various initiatives to ensure we operate our plants safely, we deliver a quality product to our customer base, and we optimize the reliability, productivity, and cost of our manufacturing assets.


Responsibilities

• Demonstrating safety leadership by identifying and resolving hazards, partnering with operations to complete PHA-required actions, and participating in Actively Caring Talk (ACT) interactions. 
• Developing and implementing process improvement projects to increase capacity, improve process control, reduce costs, improve yield, and improve safety.
• Supporting manufacturing by providing timely assistance to resolve production processing problems. In this role, candidates may be required to work non-standard hours or shift work. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet operational needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Partnering with colleagues as part of cross-functional teams including technology, manufacturing, businesses, HSES, Engineering and other functions to drive process improvements and business initiatives.
• Providing timely communications to management and project stakeholders by communicating project needs, value, priorities and decisions to ensure project success.
• Serve as division rep for capital projects.
