About the role The Modern Workplace Engineer supports the Eastern Health ICT department in the design, implementation, administration, and support of Microsoft 365 services and AI‑enabled solutions. The role is primarily focused on assisting with the delivery of modern workplace and Copilot Studio solutions, supporting approved AI use cases, and enabling automation that enhances staff productivity and digital workflows. In addition, the position provides Business‑as‑Usual (BAU) support to end users across Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering Demonstrated experience or strong capability in building solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio. Good understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. Hands-on exposure to the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). Experience supporting BAU operational tickets for Microsoft 365 services. Understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD), identity, access, and security concepts. Ability to apply governance, security, and compliance principles to AI and automation solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice) . Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment. Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
