The AI/ML Engineering Intern will support the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning models and AI-driven solutions. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and data scientists, this role contributes to real-world projects involving data processing, model experimentation, and software integration. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and eager to learn modern AI and machine learning techniques in a practical, collaborative environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models for various business use cases
- Support data collection, preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering tasks
- Help build scalable ML pipelines and contribute to model deployment efforts
- Conduct research on new algorithms, frameworks, and tools to improve model performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into applications or systems
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile development processes
- Analyze results, prepare reports, and present findings to project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot issues and help optimize existing models or workflows
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering
- Experience with Python and ML libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Clearance: May be requried to obtain a secret security clearance
Physical Requirements
- May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
