Essential Job Responsibilities
Mid-Level Radar Modeling and Simulation Engineer:
Develops, maintains, and enhances complex radar system models and simulations using MATLAB. Designs and implements models for radar waveforms, signal processing algorithms, tracking, and resource management. Assess effectiveness of vendor developed algorithms. Simulates electronic attack (EA) and electronic protection (EP) techniques to assess system performance and resiliency. Executes simulation test cases, analyzes large data sets, and documents results to support design verification and performance validation. Performs trade studies and system performance analyses to guide architecture and algorithm development. Collaborates with systems, software, and test engineers to ensure models are accurate and to validate simulation results against hardware performance.
Senior Radar Modeling and Simulation Engineer:
Develops, maintains, and enhances complex radar system models and simulations using MATLAB. Designs and implements models for radar waveforms, signal processing algorithms, tracking, and resource management. Assessing and providing expert feedback on vendor developed algorithms. Simulates electronic attack (EA) and electronic protection (EP) techniques to assess system performance and resiliency. Executes simulation test cases, analyzes large and complex data sets, and generating reports and presentations in support of design verification and performance validation. Performs trade studies and system performance analyses to guide architecture and algorithm development. Mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with systems, software, and test engineers to ensure models are accurate and to validate simulation results against hardware performance.
