Job Description
What you will be doing
- Inspects equipment daily to ensure proper safety devices are in place (i.e., guarding) and notify supervisor of any safety concerns.
- Identify tooling by size, type and where it is stored.
- Gather support tooling.
- Polish and assemble dies for presses according to schedule.
- Prep dies for caustic, return support tooling to storage racks.
- Assist with loading and unloading caustic and Nitrider baskets.
- Understand the meaning of the numbers stenciled on the tooling.
- Proper operation and inspection of the fork trucks, cranes, hoist, die ejector, sandblaster, Nitrider, and caustic systems.
- Print schedule in computer system
- Identify defects on die bearings and technique to repairs them.
