SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Processing Coordinator is responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring that all loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various departments and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant loan processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document Management: Collect, review, and organize all necessary documentation for loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordination: Act as the primary contact between loan officers, underwriters, and other parties involved in the loan process.
- Compliance: Ensure all loan processing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the loan processing stage.
- Process Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in loan processing.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all loan processing transactions and ensure proper documentation is filed.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Understanding of mortgage industry regulations and compliance requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
