Hyatt Place is located in the heart of the famous Fort Worth Stockyards. The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for providing the highest level of guest service by efficiently checking-in/checking-out guests, accurately entering guest information into the computer system, and assisting guests with any questions or concerns.
This unique position is also responsible for providing Food and Beverage service to the guests upon request.
Ideal candidates will have previous Hotel experience, have the ability to make bar cocktails, be able to prepare basic food menu items, and able to work in a fast pace environment.
The Front Desk Clerks create an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

- Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
- a) all hotel features/services, hours of operation.
- b) All room rates, special packages and promotions.
- c) Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
- d) Scheduled daily group activities.
- e) Brand services and requirements including F&B
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
- Keep bank secure at all times.
- Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Process all guest check-ins.
- Verify registration card information with the guest.
- Obtain back-up information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated.
- Handle overbooked or walked in guests.
- Accept and record wake-up call requests.
- Monitor, send and distribute guest faxes.
- Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery).
- Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
- Match the bucket check to in-house guest ledger report; report discrepancies to Manager.
- Process all check-outs.
- Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, miscellaneous charges.

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used:
· Regular use of a computer and different software programs.
· Basic math and spelling skills.
· Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills.
· This position requires sufficient experience, education and job knowledge to meet current business needs
· Continuous movement, and occasionally, you will have to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Physical Requirements of Job:

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
