Responsibilities
Under the direction the SVP of Underwriting, the BCRS Intern will gain an in- depth knowledge of the insurance industry including underwriting, claims, operations and finance. The BCRS intern will receive on the job training and be given the opportunity to work on meaningful assignments.
• Spend time in each BCRS department to gain an understand of the role of each in the BCRS insurance workflow
• Participate in a variety of ‘shadow days’, trainings and development activities.
• Complete all assignments when due with the appropriate deliverable
• Collaborate on projects as assigned and the opportunity to develop an understanding of the insurance industry
• Other duties that will support BCRS business strategies
Qualifications
• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Takes initiative
• Strong to attention to details and accuracy

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:
• Base Salary Range: $25 per hour
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
