About the Role:
The Staffing Coordinator - LVN plays a critical role in ensuring that licensed vocational nursing staff are efficiently scheduled and deployed to meet the dynamic needs of healthcare facilities across the United States. This position is responsible for coordinating staffing assignments, managing shift coverage, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The coordinator acts as a liaison between nursing staff and management to facilitate clear communication and resolve scheduling conflicts promptly. By optimizing staffing levels, the role directly contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Staffing Coordinator supports both the workforce and the organization by fostering a well-organized, responsive, and supportive staffing environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas.
- Proven experience in healthcare staffing coordination or a related administrative role.
- EXPERINCE IN ONSHIFT and Valid shift software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a hospital or long-term care facility environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Background in human resources or workforce management.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Certification in healthcare staffing or workforce management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for LVN personnel to ensure adequate coverage across multiple healthcare sites.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, supervisors, and management to address staffing needs, shift changes, and any emergent scheduling issues.
- Monitor and track staff availability, certifications, and compliance with licensing requirements to ensure all assignments meet regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with human resources and recruitment teams to support onboarding and orientation of new LVN staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of staffing activities, prepare reports on staffing metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency.

The Staffing Coordinator utilizes strong organizational and multitasking skills daily to create and adjust complex staffing schedules that meet fluctuating patient care demands. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising between nursing staff and management, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of scheduling conflicts. Proficiency with scheduling software and data management tools enables the coordinator to maintain accurate records and generate insightful reports that inform staffing decisions.
