Supervisor Job Description
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the department operates safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality and performance. This role is accountable for achieving production goals, controlling defects, managing labor, and keeping associates aligned with daily operational priorities. The Supervisor bridges leadership expectations with execution on the production floor to ensure results meet operational standards and company objectives.
In addition, the Supervisor must maintain strong operational process awareness, ensuring associates follow established quality standards, procedures, equipment handling guidelines, and production expectations to minimize defects, errors, and rework while supporting overall department efficiency and performance.
1st Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily department performance in productivity, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Monitor operational flow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet business demands.
- Set clear expectations at the start of each shift and communicate daily goals effectively.
- Track real-time performance and address gaps immediately to maintain operational efficiency.
- Hold associates accountable to department standards, including productivity, quality, safety, attendance, and behavior.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to associates as needed.
- Identify process breakdowns, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed consistently.
- Support labor management and workforce planning to maximize department performance.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Develop associates through cross-training, hands-on demonstrations, and continuous coaching to build a stronger and more flexible team.
- Maintain embroidery production awareness by monitoring machine performance, design accuracy, thread quality, hooping standards, and production flow.
- Ensure embroidery operators follow approved procedures to reduce defects, thread breaks, downtime, and unpicks.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Production teams to maintain embroidery quality standards and customer expectations.
