Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Engineer II position in the Trump Hotels Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic as well as be eager to learn, share information, and grow into a valuable team member of our existing engineering staff.

 

Minor building construction, supply, and/or skill trade experience is preferred for his position. Must be flexible to work all shifts and days when necessary is required.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
  • Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
  • Assists other department associates in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
  • Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention.
  • Develops executable solutions to satisfy project requirements.
  • Identifies and addressing client/guest needs specific.
  • Supports internal and external communications, and functional program activities to meet contract scope, schedule, budget, and key project initiatives.

 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

 

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
  • Reports major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to the dispatcher for further action and if necessary, place a room out of order.
  • Due to the nature of the business the individual may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as water proofing, shop clean up and labeling of hazardous materials.

 


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

 

EDUCATION:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an engineer in hospitality 

Previous construction trade/maintenance experience needed

 

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

Prefer but not required.

 

GROOMING/UNIFORMS:

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.


NOTICE:

The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.


OTHER

Must be 21 or older. Additional language ability is preferred.
