Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

This is a senior level procurement position with daily interaction with Plant leadership, Scheduling, Engineering and Shop Personnel. The focus of this role is to maintain and improve current supply chains, both domestic and internationally (China) and procure the highest quality material and services at the best overall price within approved company policies to maintain current and forecasted production levels.
The business is a growing, fast-paced, high mix environment with approximately 25% of the products being custom engineered. Sourcing needs and requirements will be derived through MRP systems as well as through focused inventory level tracking for stock components. Oversight of all Inventory control functions in the facility will also be a responsibility of this position.

This role works closely with Plant Leadership, Engineering, Scheduling, and Shop teams to ensure materials are available to meet production demands. This is a high-impact role focused on strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and inventory management in a fast-paced, high-mix environment with approximately 25% custom-engineered products.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies based on production forecasts
• Manage ERP/MRP transactions (purchase orders, receipts, inventory adjustments)
• Build and maintain supplier relationships (domestic and international)
• Drive cost reduction and lead time improvements
• Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting
• Monitor inventory levels and support production planning decisions
• Expedite purchase orders to avoid production delays
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams
What We’re Looking For
• 3–5+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong Excel and organizational skills
• Understanding of inventory control practices
• Experience with international sourcing preferred
• Ability to read or understand mechanical assemblies is a plus
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
