Work under the guidance of plant Supervisors and Journeyman skilled trades.
Work toward completing hours for all competency skill sets as defined by Skilled Trades Ontario.
Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust mechanical equipment in the plant.
Service the mechanical aspects of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Perform preventative maintenance of production machinery to optimize machine efficiencies and equipment reliability.
Apply lubricants used in the preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Receive instructions, prints, and work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work.
Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage on computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), work orders, logbooks, and checklists.
Perform rounds and checks machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
Operate power driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking.
