Cost Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE The members of the accounting job family ensure that Cavco’s financial books and records are appropriately maintained in a timely and accurate manner. They maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers. They process accounts receivables and accounts payable as well as maintain lists of authorized vendors. The accounting group works directly with the external auditors and financial reporting to ensure GAAP and SEC compliance. The Cost Accountant is a non-degreed accountant (although accounting degree preferred) supporting the operations with transactional accounting processing and coordination of initiatives supporting plant operations. This role works independently executing process steps, conducting analysis and problem solving.
