At Catholic Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient, every moment. Good Samaritan University Hospital, a 537-bed teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Child Life Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support to pediatric patients and families.
- Utilize therapeutic play and developmental activities to promote coping and healing.
- Prepare children and families for medical procedures and hospital experiences.
- Support families throughout the child’s healthcare journey.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to a safe, child-friendly environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field required.
- Eligible for Child Life Certification (CCLS) within 18 months of hire.
- Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship required.
- BLS/CPR certification required. ( American Heart Association accepted only)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Pediatric healthcare and/or oncology experience preferred.
