Job Overview We are looking for a candidate who is result driven, self-motivated, an innovative designer with sound knowledge in design and drafting industrial utility electrical schematics, single line drawings, and wiring diagrams with knowledge in protection and control. A Day In The Life Successful candidates will be relied upon to apply manual and computerized drafting methods with a working knowledge of the terms and procedures to prepare various electrical and control drawings including wiring diagrams, one-lines and schematics to represent the electrical design using various platforms including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical. The candidate must be able to draft complex drawings in a 2-D or 3-D environment as per project requirements. Design and draft industrial utility electrical schematics and assemblies, wiring diagrams, drawing lists, cable management systems, Cover Sheets, and bill of materials in detail. Revise existing customer wiring diagrams for retrofit of new equipment. Officially submit CAD files and associated documents to/from client servers. Responsible for own performance in terms of quality and deliverables and exhibit strict attention to detail. Operation of CAD and other drafting/design computer programs efficiently. Liaison with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure drafts are within scope. Assist in training and mentoring junior level CAD Technicians. What will help you thrive in this role? Education B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering Experience Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience Mandatory Requirements 3–5 years of experience in the electrical industry with design and drafting exposure Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuits Capability to create wiring diagrams from schematics Experience in developing accurate cable schedules Desirable Skills & Attributes Technical experience in an electrical field or similar role Strong mathematical, communication, and teamwork skills High attention to detail with focus on quality review Ability to manage multiple projects and meet milestone deadlines Highly motivated to learn new skills and adapt to new technical challenges Software Skills Mandatory: Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, and MS Office tools Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities associated with this role Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
