Job Description
A Day In The Life
- Need to understand the electrical products and conceptualize new ideas for new product development and for the betterment of existing products
- Need to design the product as per ASTM & ISO standards. Need to create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M – 2009 standards.
- Design cast components (Cast Aluminum Alloy/ Cast Copper Alloy/ Tin-Plated Copper) based on functional and customer specifications.
- Define parting lines, cores, draft angles, fillets, and machining allowances.
- Support pattern plate design and tool development. Develop gating, riser, runner, and feeding systems.
- Conduct casting flow simulations (solidification, shrinkage, porosity), evaluate casting manufacturability and suggest design optimizations. Coordinate with the tooling team.
- Good knowledge of design tools FMEA, VA/VE & DFMA methodologies
- Good Team player - Develop good interaction with team manager and team members
- Should have good communication skills oral & written. Interact with US engineers to understand the requirements of the project
- Should act as technical interface to US team and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedules
- Maintain high-Quality standards, project documentation & deliver projects within a critical timeline.
