Job Overview
In this role, a typical day may include:
- Assembling mechanical components, enclosures, and sub‑assemblies using hand and power tools
- Reading and following standardized work instructions, drawings, and quality guidelines
- Preparing parts, hardware, and materials for assembly
- Performing basic wiring tasks under guidance (routing cables, attaching connectors, securing harnesses)
- Inspecting completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and workmanship
- Labeling, packaging, or staging completed work for downstream processes
- Reporting defects, material shortages, or equipment issues
- Maintaining a clean and safe workstation following 5S principles
- Communicating with leads and teammates to ensure production goals are met

Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly
- Familiarity with torque tools, crimpers, wire strippers, or measurement tools
- Experience reading simple schematics or diagrams
- Entry‑level mechanical or electrical coursework
Physical Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the employee must meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 35–50 lbs occasionally throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and repetitive hand motions
- Ability to grip and operate hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, ratchets, crimpers, etc.)
- Ability to distinguish color‑coded wires or labels (if applicable to the build)
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment with moderate noise
- Ability to walk, push carts, and move materials within the department
