Job Overview
To support the manufacturing operations, including determining the most cost-effective method of manufacturing components with existing equipment/facilities as well as proposing new methods/equipment.
A Day In The Life
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and processes.
- Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues.
- Prepare justification documentation for capital expenditures.
- Lead / Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development.
- Develop and implement cost saving projects. Participate in Lean events that drive productivity and cost improvement.
- Lead quality improvement activities including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Work closely with product engineering in product changes/new product introductions.
- Investigate and implement safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting.
- Provide technical support/training to direct labor employees.
- Supporting plant-wide Safety initiatives.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
- Ability to travel on business related trips as needed.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Computing literacy with MS Office applications. SAP experience is a plus.
- CAD - Inventor preferred.
- Experience in tool design, tool build and modeling.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.
- Previous Forging experience is a strong plus.
