Job Description

A Day In The Life

· Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

· Engage key stakeholders at process decision gates, ensuring effective collaboration and cross-functional involvement.

· Develop and maintain project timelines using Gantt charts and other project management and planning tools.

· Track and manage project budgets and expenditures.

· Prepare and deliver project report-outs to stakeholders and leadership, including production hand-off presentations.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, operations, legal, and external vendors to move projects along.

· Create and maintain detailed documentation including work instructions and Scope of Work (SOW).

· Assist in process improvement initiatives, utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills to support operations.

· Utilize SolidWorks to review drawings and models as needed (preferred).

· Apply systems-thinking Project Management methodology to streamline interdepartmental teams (preferred).

· Maintain organized project files and documentation for engineering and capital projects.

· Experience in ERP systems is a plus (SAP preferred).

· Create Purchase Requisitions and monitor POs to vendors.

· Manage POs and Invoicing in SAP for project milestone payments.

· Participate in RIEs (Rapid Improvement Events) – assist in managing these initiatives and coordinating of department resources cross-functionally.

· Be open to opportunities for personal and professional development.

· Travel domestically to support project execution and vendor coordination (possibility of international travel).

· Spend extended periods on the production floor to ensure project alignment and execution.
