Job Overview
The PCX Electrical Integrator 1 Team Lead is responsible for directing and supporting the daily activities of team members involved in cutting, building, and installing wireways such as cable and basket tray in a clean, safe and concise manner
This role provides hands‑on leadership on the production floor—setting priorities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and supporting the team in achieving manufacturing goals.
Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Team Lead assigns tasks, supports workflow, resolves assembly issues, and ensures that all work meets engineering, customer, and quality specifications.
This position requires advanced proficiency in the integration of wireways such as cable and basket tray assemblies, strong attention to detail, and the ability to mentor and guide teammates effectively.
A Day In The Life
In this role, your typical day may include:
- Assigning work priorities, distributing tasks, and coordinating manpower to meet production schedules
- Working alongside assemblers to model proper measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling wireways such as cable tray and basket tray
- Installing tray systems and securing them according to engineering drawings and instructions

- Ensuring team members follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and equipment procedures
- Verifying that all completed work conforms to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Identifying production issues, discrepancies, or nonconforming components and taking corrective action
- Supporting troubleshooting efforts and participating in cross‑functional problem‑solving teams
- Ensuring proper training and cross‑training of team members, maintaining accurate training records
- Monitoring workflow efficiency and reporting manpower or equipment needs to the Supervisor
- Ensuring adherence to the company’s Quality Management System and ISO 9001 standards
- Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Inventory to resolve build documentation issues or material shortages
- Maintaining safe, organized, and clean work areas in compliance with housekeeping and 5S expectations
- Reporting material usage, supporting accurate inventory control, and coordinating with warehouse personnel
- Assisting the Supervisor with scheduling, staffing decisions, and performance feedback
- Ensuring that all workstations operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime

Required Skills
- Working with large gauge wire (250, 350, 500, 600 KCMIL) as needed
- Reading and following posted bulletins, work instructions, regulations, and manufacturer manuals
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and ladders or lifts (with required safety harnesses)
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assembly issues
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience supporting or directing small teams in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment
- Completing required documentation such as timesheets and material‑usage forms
- Reporting issues or discrepancies to supervisors and offering improvement suggestions
- Working cooperatively with team members to meet daily production targets
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 10‑hour shifts and weekends as required
- Ability to lift, move, and position components as needed (up to job‑specific limits)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks
- Ability to complete training requirements
