As our Senior Communications Manager, you’ll lead the charge in raising awareness and telling DiDi’s story across Australia and New Zealand. From bold, consumer-led PR campaigns to strategic storytelling that shapes how we show up in market, you’ll bring creativity and clarity to everything we do.
Reporting to the Head of External Affairs, you’ll play a key role in driving our communications strategy, helping to build brand favourability, manage reputation, and keep DiDi front of mind in a competitive rideshare landscape. You’ll also support the day-to-day running of our PR function, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver standout results.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety and challenge. The Australia and New Zealand market is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a creative, driven and agile PR expert who’s excited to grow with it. You’ll bring a strong track record in public relations or communications, along with a genuine passion for crafting stories that cut through.
Role Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of high-impact consumer and corporate PR strategies that elevate brand awareness and strengthen DiDi’s presence across Australia and New Zealand.
Lead the day-to-day management of our PR agency
Collaborate closely with the marketing function to amplify campaigns and partnerships through a PR lens, driving additional reach, engagement and earned media coverage
Align and communicate PR strategy across internal stakeholders, including local and global teams, ensuring clarity and consistency
Oversee media monitoring and reporting in partnership with our PR agency, turning insights into actionable recommendations
Manage budgets and administrative processes
Role Qualifications
7+ years’ experience in PR, communications or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of the media landscape across Australia and New Zealand
Proven strength in shaping and executing effective PR campaigns
Ability to turn data and insights into impactful campaigns
Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, self-starter with strong initiative and creativity
Confident working independently and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Interest in tech, startups or high-growth industries (experience a bonus)
Collaborative, accountable and values-driven team player
