
Guyana - Georgetown: Subsea Services Specialist - Testing and Subsea
Job Description
Job Duties
- Routinely work across different well site environments, including onshore, offshore, and base camp operations, as assigned by the Service Coordinator;
- Coordinate and oversee Testing & Subsea (Subsea Safety Systems) Product Service Line (PSL) activities at the well site and base camp;
- Plan and execute operational activities, including equipment setup, well site supervision, and customer support;
- Maintain, set up, test, and operate equipment at customer locations and field camps;
- Mentor and train junior Service Specialists in technical and operational areas;
- Monitor instruments and perform required calculations to ensure data and job quality;
- Provide technical support to customers, promote strong customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction with service results;
- Ensure proper maintenance of assigned equipment and compliance with all safety regulations and procedures;
- Support loading, preparation, and mobilization of Testing & Subsea (Subsea Safety Systems) equipment for operations;
- Conduct pre-job toolbox talks, review and validate job plans with customer representatives, manage operational changes when required, and verify equipment readiness according to job plans;
- Complete all required job documentation, including Job Tickets, Job History Reports, CV Metrics/KPIs, Job Logs, and Job Summaries;
- Demonstrate understanding of downhole hydraulics, including basic job calculations and Blow Out Prevention (BOP) functions;
- Perform competently across most Testing & Subsea (Subsea Safety Systems) operations within the local area;
Qualifications
- Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Control & Automation, or related Engineering degree;
- Solid understanding of downhole hydraulics, including basic job calculations, wireline Blow Out Prevention (BOP) functions, and basic reservoir concepts such as BHP, BHT, and hydrocarbon characteristics;
- Experience with remotely operated control systems or similar electro-hydraulic subsea technologies;
- Familiarity with rig interfaces and integration between subsea equipment, rig systems, and third-party contractors;
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and system schematics;
- Structured, safety-oriented professional capable of working under pressure in fast-paced offshore environments;
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical teams and client representatives;
- Experience with XT & Tubing Hanger installation, as well as knowledge of subsea test tree providers, downhole interfaces, and related equipment, will be considered an advantage;
- Advanced English proficiency.
