Job Description
Job Duties
- Under general supervision, assists in analysis, modification and design of products and services for assigned projects which requires working knowledge of materials, components, and their applications.
- Prepares design calculations and specifications. Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects.
- Assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services. Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain manufacturing systems applications, operational technology (OT) networks, and IoT devices
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of critical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues in a timely manner
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and security configurations in line with company policies
- Perform regular system and application updates, patching, and data backups
- Support IT infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, with focus on manufacturing systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions
- Collaborate with AI developers to build and enhance AI-based knowledge bases for automated troubleshooting and support
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for issue resolution and system improvements
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- A Masters degree in Engineering preferred. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
Skils
- Hands-on support experience for PCs, scanners, tablets, and peripherals
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows devices and hardware issues
- Basic networking knowledge including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting
Additional competencies:
- Experience with device deployment, replacement, imaging, and configuration
- Familiarity with OT environments and legacy systems
- Understanding of VLAN concepts, firewall rules, and network segmentation
- Knowledge of endpoint protection and OT security tools
- Ability to coordinate with global IT/network teams
- Strong documentation and operational discipline
- Good communication and stakeholder support skills
- Self-driven and capable of working independently at site level
