Job Description
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare trailers for release with a strong focus on safety, quality, and turnaround time.
- Perform maintenance and reconditioning work on trailer systems, components, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues with limited assistance and communicate repair needs clearly and accurately.
- Document work performed correctly and clock in and out of work orders with attention to detail.
- Maintain a high level of productivity while meeting expected repair timelines.
- Coordinate with the parts team to identify and secure the parts needed for each job.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe while following OSHA and company safety standards.
- Report concerns, additional repair needs, or equipment issues to shop leadership in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing ideas and helping improve processes across the shop.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience working with trailers, maintenance, repair, or reconditioning work.
- Strong mechanical ability and confidence troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Working knowledge of shop safety practices, maintenance standards, and inspection expectations.
- Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and manage multiple repair tasks with consistency.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with parts and shop leadership.
- Commitment to keeping a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- CDL or the ability to maintain one if required is a plus.
