Job Description

AH-64 Simulator Instructor shall conduct training operations for the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) and the work shall focus on providing academic and simulator instruction to AH-64 aircrew in all facets of AH-64 operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Academic/Simulator Instructor shall be responsible for the planning and coordination of classroom training. The Academic/Simulator instructor will also instruct theory of Combat Maneuvers and other required theory and tactics)
  • Maintain electronic training records to document student performance records, training events, tasks, progress, grades, training records and individually tailored instructor comments for recommended improvements. 
  • Ensures the satisfactory completion of the Customer conducted evaluation for each student trainee in accordance with approved syllabus. Shall confirm each student meets the knowledge and performance standards for the appropriate syllabus prior to releasing the student for flight training.
  • Provides academic and training device instruction to allow students to achieve the learning objectives associated with applicable syllabi or training plans.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • AH-64E V6 qualified Instructor

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 10+ years of AH-64 or related experience
  • AH-64 formal training unit experience
  • Experience with aviation training programs, regulations and aviation flight procedures
  • Experience with training aspects of Link 16, Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), Hellfire Missile, M-TADS and Fire Control Radar (FCR), Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T)

Security Responsibilities

  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures. 
  • May be responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials. Employee shall not divulge any information, or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know authorization. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. Will be required to execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information. 

 

 

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

 

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills 

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

  • Must be able to perform Domestic and International travel as required. 
  • Shop floor environment.
  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems.
  • May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
