Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer

The Telecommunications Equipment Installer/Repairer provides advanced installation, maintenance, and optimization support for communications, video teleconferencing (VTC), audiovisual (A/V), and hardware, operating systems, and peripherals (HOSP). This role manages the lifecycle of telecom hardware, cable infrastructure, and related systems across multiple classification levels, ensuring compliance with Air Force & DoD standards. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the specialist coordinates with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors to plan, execute, and document installation and repair activities. A focus on quality workmanship, system reliability, lifecycle sustainment, and IT security vigilance is vital to supporting mission-critical communications infrastructure.
