Job Description
Essential Functions
Perform maintenance and engineering work order requests as assigned.
Repair and overhaul Clinic equipment as directed.
Perform a variety of technical, preventative maintenance tasks such as light bulb and ceiling tile changing, minor electrical, plumbing and other routine mechanical repairs.
Complete work as assigned by the Facilities Coordinator in a prompt and timely manner.
Supports building management system control management function as assigned
Performs fire and life safety door hardware and fires/smoke door preventative maintenance activities
Supports carpentry function up to and including fabrication and refinishing work
Performs drywall repairs and minor painting
Responds to and corrects minor plumbing and fixture repairs and services
Supports first eyes on HVAC troubleshooting when assigned
Has basic electrical testing and repair responsibility
Assist other trades in completing assignments and projects and special details.
Ensure that all Watson Clinic facilities are well maintained and safe and in compliance with OSHA standards.
Follows standard safety practices including lock out tag out, personal protection equipment, hearing protection, haz material handling, bio medical waste, and ladder safety
Supports the fire response team (Code Red)
Has familiarity or roll in the event of a declared emergency and or a color code.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Must be able to perform duties while bending, twisting, and lifting.
Lifting weight up to 40 lbs required. Body mechanics and proper lifting techniques are a function of the job requirements.
Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Requires standing, working in elevated or lower temperatures, working in cramped workspaces and awkward positions, climbing ladders and/or scaffolds.
Travel
Must have a valid Florida driver license and a safe driving record.
Required Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent. Specialized vocational training in maintenance filed a plus. Completion of technical courses in electrical, plumbing and mechanical air handling equipment, or 5 to 7 years proven experience in a maintenance related or equivalent field
Must possess a general mechanical aptitude and progressive proven skills in mechanical, minor electrical and carpentry trade. Must have experience in using basic maintenance equipment including power saws, electrical drills, grinders, electrical testing devices, etc.
Preferred Education and Experience
Completion of a 2-year Associate of Science Degree program, or completion of a 2-year vocational program related to building maintenance/ building systems technology
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in the building maintenance filed after/or in conjunction with program attendance
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be service oriented and display diplomacy and tact.
Must be capable of lifting heavy equipment on a regular basis
