Job Description

We are seeking an experienced G10 FX Spot Voice Trader to join a high-performing trading desk. The role combines risk-taking, client franchise development, and electronic market interaction, requiring strong judgment, communication skills, and a deep understanding of FX market microstructure.

The candidate will be responsible for pricing and executing G10 spot FX trades, managing risk in real time, engaging directly with corporate and institutional clients, and partnering closely with electronic trading teams to optimize liquidity provision and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading & Risk Management

  • Actively price and execute G10 spot FX trades across voice and electronic channels

  • Manage intra-day risk, positioning, and inventory in line with desk mandates

  • Monitor market developments, liquidity conditions, and central bank/ macro drivers

  • Provide timely and competitive pricing to internal sales and external clients

  • Contribute to P&L generation through disciplined risk-taking and trade selection

Client Coverage & Communication

  • Present market views, trade ideas, and flow insights to clients in both formal and informal settings

  • Partner with sales to grow client relationships and wallet share

  • Deliver clear and actionable commentary on FX market moves and positioning

Electronic Trading & Market Structure

  • Work closely with eFX / algo trading teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with FX options, rates, and cross-currency desks on flows and positioning

  • Engage with quantitative and technology teams to enhance pricing tools and analytics

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of G10 FX spot trading experience (voice or hybrid voice/electronic)

  • Strong understanding of:

    • FX spot market microstructure

    • Cross-currency dynamics and funding pressures

    • Liquidity regimes and event-driven price action

  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk and generate consistent P&L

  • Experience interacting with electronic liquidity platforms (EBS, Reuters, ECNs, single-dealer platforms)

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills

  • Strong decision-making under pressure in fast-moving markets

  • Ability to synthesize macro + flow + positioning into tradable views

  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to bridge voice trading and electronic execution

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset

Preferred Attributes

  • Established client relationships within the G10 FX investor community

  • Experience presenting in client meetings, roadshows, or market updates

  • Familiarity with execution analytics, TCA, and algo performance evaluation

  • Comfort working in a hybrid high-touch / high-tech trading environment

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
