Job Description
The Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the continued build-out of the HRSOS (HR Strategy, Operations and Services) Project Management Office (PMO). This position is responsible for leading large, complex, cross-functional HR projects and driving execution across enterprise initiatives. This role represents a strategic shift from coordination to full project ownership, with a strong emphasis on delivering results, influencing stakeholders, and translating business priorities into actionable plans. A key focus area will include supporting a multi-year, enterprise-wide job architecture and skills initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large-scale, complex HR projects from initiation through execution, ensuring delivery against defined scope, timelines, and objectives.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
Drive accountability across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and proactive follow-through on commitments.
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and cross-team dependencies to ensure coordination.
Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders across HR, Compensation, and business functions.
Lead and facilitate project meetings, providing structured updates and driving decisions.
Translate strategic initiatives into actionable project plans.
Support enterprise initiatives such as job architecture and skills development.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively mitigate issues.
Ensure alignment across initiatives to prevent siloed work.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to eight years of experience in project management activities
Preferred Skills/ experience Qualifications
Experience leading cross-functional projects in matrixed organizations.
Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing decisions.
Strong execution focus with ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans.
Experience with organizational design, job architecture, or skills frameworks preferred.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Workday, and ServiceNow.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
