The Learning & Development (L&D) Intern supports the execution of enterprise learning initiatives across leadership development, operational training, and employee engagement programs. This role provides hands-on experience in instructional support, learning operations, and program coordination, enabling the L&D team to focus on frontline impact and strategic priorities. The intern contributes to training content development, program logistics, and data tracking while gaining exposure to how learning programs are designed, delivered, and measured within a mission-driven organization.

- Assist in the design, update, and maintenance of training materials, including presentations, job aids, and facilitator guides
- Support Leadership Development Programs (LDP), orientation, and operational training initiatives
- Contribute to basic multimedia content development, including video editing and visual learning assets

- Maintain training records, trackers, and learning data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity
- Support reporting on training participation, completion, and program metrics

- Provide logistical support for live and virtual training sessions, including setup, materials preparation, and participant coordination

Qualifications – Education & Experience
|
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field (open to junior, senior undergraduate, or graduate students)
- Prior internship, coursework, or project-based experience in training, HR, education, or operations is a plus but not required
- Comfort with public speaking or presentation environments preferred

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage routine tasks accurately and consistently
- Comfort working with data, trackers, and basic reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Demonstrated interest in learning, development, or organizational effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to training, HR, education, or operations through coursework or projects
- Basic experience with video editing or multimedia tools
- Bilingual English/Spanish

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
|
- Ability to sit, stand, or move for extended periods and lift up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to hear normal conversation, communicate clearly, and adjust to varied noise levels in office and retail settings.
- Vision sufficient for computer work, documentation, and observation of participant activities.
