
Fire Systems Manager
Job Description
Valiant is looking for a Temporary Fire Systems Manager to join our team! This position is located in Naples, Italy. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm and engineered/pre-engineered suppression systems. This role involves hands-on technical work, leadership responsibilities, customer interaction, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety codes and regulations. The Fire Systems Manager will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, training, and maintaining a high standard of quality service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the installation, inspection, and testing of fire alarm systems and fire suppression systems (engineered and pre-engineered) according to NFPA codes and standards.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm and suppression systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform final system inspections, programming, and customer training on installed systems.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and system documentation.
- Record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations, ensuring that all necessary forms are filled out accurately for proper invoicing and customer records.
- Provide copies of documentation and reports to customers upon service completion.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs.
- Provide clear explanations of system deficiencies, solutions, and corrective actions to clients.
- Evaluate customer sites to identify opportunities for additional equipment and service needs.
- Lead and mentor technicians within your area of expertise, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Work in coordination with the customer to schedule and ensure successful completion of job activities.
- Provide on-site or remote emergency troubleshooting of fire alarm and suppression systems, addressing urgent customer needs and resolving system issues as quickly as possible.
- Occasional work during nights, weekends, and holidays as required, depending on job site demands and urgency.
- Manage parts and equipment requests for specific jobs, ensuring that the necessary materials are available for timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with all required regulatory standards (e.g., NFPA 13, 20, 25, 72), as well as any state or OSHA regulations that apply.
