SUMMARY

SUMMARY

Assist in maintaining all aspects of the sales department of the Dealership including all parts and trailer sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer sales calls
  • Assist customers visiting Dealership
  • Quote trailers for customers
  • Prepare sales paperwork and deliver to office administration daily for invoicing
  • Coordinate, organize and maintain the display and merchandising of the sales yard
  • Coordinate, organize and properly display Parts Department
  • Assist in maintaining the general organization of the front office to create a friendly and professional appearance
  • Proper handling of cash transactions and reporting to office administration and adhering to all policies and procedures referring to handling of cash and bank deposits.
  • Position requires reliable transportation. Mileage is reimbursed at the company’s current rate.
  • Plan and execute outside sales calls to develop wholesale business (Landscape, Construction, Rental Companies) with Store Manager direction, input, and approval
  • Attend Trade Shows, Sale Barns, Co-ops, Veterinarians, Farm Expos, Tractor Pulls, etc. to help drive overall sales initiative of the Dealership
  • Assist in completion of weekly inventory report
  • Maintain accurate and up to date order file lists for all trailer and parts sold at Dealership
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions

  • Source sales leads
    • Establish rapport with customers
    • Engage with customers to determine needs and solve problems by matching with appropriate products and services
    • Use the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to track and manage sales leads
    • Answer inbound sales calls, makes outbound and follow up sales calls
    • Creates quotes for customers
    • Negotiate to meet customer needs while maintaining sales profit margins
    • Prepare sales paperwork and invoices
    • Present finance opportunities to customers and assists the customer with the finance process.
    • Process sales through the cash register and Store Order Entry (SOE) system
    • With the support and direction of the Store Manager, plans and executes outside sales calls to develop wholesale business
    • Attend off-site sales events (Trade shows, sale barns, co-ops, farm expos, tractor pulls, etc.) to market the company and develop sales leads.
    • Work with management to coordinate inventory needs and special orders
    • Support opening and closing of the facility as directed
    • Coordinate, organize and maintain the display and merchandising of the sales yard and showroom
    • Assist in maintaining the general appearance and organization of the offices and facility
    • Keep current with industry trends and updates.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  2. Proven track record of outside sales
  3.  (3) years of commissioned sales experience
  4. Valid Driver’s License
  5. Sales license and/or ability to obtain sales license

Tasks are regularly performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, chemicals, and traffic hazards.

To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to:

  • Talk and hear, read, write understand and communicate by telephone and in person using the English language.
    • The employee is frequently required to use hands for typing, 10-key operation, telephone dialing. Regular use of hands for feeling, grasping or manipulating objects, tools, or controls. Occasional using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
    • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, move over uneven surfaces.
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
    • Regular operation of computers, cash register, telephone and printer/copier/scanner/fax.
    • Regular operation of tractors, forklifts, vehicles and other power equipment.

Work Hours

This position is full-time. Work week is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays (Except company holidays). 40+ hours per week.
