Skyline Windows is a fourth generation family owned and operated business. We are best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All of our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all!
Position Summary:
The Factory Engineer holds a key role in the review of shop drawings for windows and doors. This includes analyzing the project, inputting data into the fenestration software, making revisions, and communicating with project engineers to verify the accuracy of the information. Also, creating and reviewing models of new extrusions in the software, ensuring that the relationships between the pieces are accurate, printing and reviewing the order package report and other financial reports for the factory manager, and releasing the job to the project managers. Additionally, cross-checking models and jobs before they are sent for production and ensuring that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the quality and accuracy of the final products.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience reading shop drawings
- Understanding take-offs
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- AutoCad knowledge
- MS Office (Excel & Word)
- Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills, problem solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to learn
- VisualC++ programming a plus
Experience & Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or minimum of three years related work experience

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods of time which may include being seated while working
