Overview
 
The Assistant Manager supports club leadership in the daily operations of the facility, ensuring the environment remains clean, functional, and friendly for all members and employees. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional member experiences by upholding Club Fitness standards and modeling the company’s values. The Assistant Manager also provides guidance to operational team members, assisting with staffing, performance support, and the development of a positive, service-focused work environment.
 
 
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 12pm-9:30pm | Sunday 8:30am - 6:00pm
 
 
Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $37,500 - $40,000 (compensation dependent on experience and location)

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and guide staff to uphold a clean, functional, and friendly environment while delivering the highest level of member experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cleanliness or functionality and ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Provide club tours and educate potential members on the value of Club Fitness amenities and services.
  • Engage with members to guide them toward amenities, programs, and services that support their fitness goals.
  • Foster a high-performing, customer-service–focused team culture.
  • Inspect facility audit results and ensure tasks are completed to company standards.
  • Take an active role in training staff on cleanliness expectations and operational procedures.
  • Assist with Member Incident Reports (MIRs) and Employee Incident Reports (EIRs).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe club environment through scheduled walk-throughs and hands-on support.
  • Oversee Kids Club operations, ensuring a safe, upbeat, and engaging environment for children ages 2 and up.
  • Complete accurate POS transactions, including retail, tanning, and membership-related sales.
  • Conduct daily facility audits and assign tasks to staff based on audit findings.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on front desk functions, check-in processes, POS operations, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure consistent service excellence by guiding team members in delivering a clean, functional, and friendly environment.

  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • 18 years of age or older, required
  • Minimum of at least 1 year of experience in customer service or hospitality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work varying hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
 
Physical Requirements
  • Long periods of standing and moving about the facility
  • Occasional lifting of gym equipment may be needed
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. 
  • Daily physical activity includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and standing for prolonged periods of time.
