Pay Range: $20.96 to $30.41
Shift: Daytime
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
IT Retail Services Low Voltage Technician
Location: La Crosse, WI
Job Purpose:
Join our IT Retail Services team as a Low Voltage Technician, responsible for installing and updating network cabling and systems at Kwik Trip retail locations. This role ensures proper installation of IT, communications, and camera equipment to meet business needs. You’ll act as a liaison between IT and business departments, assist with networking projects, and provide training for new team members.
Responsibilities:
- Install low voltage cabling and equipment for new store builds, remodels, and company projects.
- Test and troubleshoot cabling systems and camera installations.
- Perform basic break/fix work for cameras and digital displays.
- Hang cameras and digital displays, complete software setup as needed.
- Assist with basic Field Service Technician tasks when required.
- Participate in ongoing training and provide feedback on procedures.
- Travel across Kwik Trip’s footprint with regular overnight stays on Monday and Tuesday nights each week.
Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical post-high school education (Associate Degree or equivalent).
- 0–2 years of experience; minimum 1 year in IT Retail Services or related field.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrician experience and blueprint reading skills preferred.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows OS, POS systems, and network hardware (switches, routers, patch panels).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and install network cabling.
- Skilled in using punch-down tools and rack mounting systems.
- Understanding of ServiceNow FSM system for task execution and inventory tracking.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and operating tools or vehicles.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
