Job Description:
The Swimming Pool Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of swimming pools and their auxiliary equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Water Maintenance: Fill the pool and conduct regular water tests to ensure proper chlorine levels and overall water quality.
- Chemical Management: Regulate chemical feeders and accurately measure prescribed amounts of soda ash and chlorine based on specific guidelines to purify the water.
- Equipment Inspection: Regularly check heating and pumping equipment for functionality; perform minor repairs using mechanic's hand tools as needed.
- Pool Cleaning: Remove leaves and debris from the pool using nets; clean the bottom and sides of the pool utilizing underwater vacuum cleaners, hoses, brushes, detergents, acid solutions, and sanders.
- Tile and Filter Maintenance: Inspect and replace loose or damaged tiles, and clean and repair the filtration system to ensure optimal performance.
- Reporting: Report any emergencies or unusual malfunctions to a supervisor and prepare reports detailing materials used and work performed.
