Overview

The Lead Patient Care Assistant (PCA) position operates under the supervision of the PCA/MA Supervisor and is responsible for performing all core Patient Care Assistant duties while also serving as a frontline resource and operational support for the team. This role includes bringing patients from the lobby to the appropriate examination room, obtaining and documenting vital signs in the patient chart, and performing simple lab procedures.


In addition to these responsibilities, the Lead PCA functions as a subject matter expert and day-to-day support for team operations. This role bridges staff and leadership by helping ensure workflows run smoothly, addressing questions in real time, and providing guidance to team members to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.


The Team Lead helps stabilize the day. By providing real-time support and clarity, this role ensures both patients and staff experience consistency, efficiency, and care at every touchpoint.

 

Travel between our Rogers location and three Fayetteville locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for team questions, escalations, and workflow clarification
• Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and patient-centered care
• Troubleshoot real-time issues and remove barriers impacting team performance
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Reinforce best practices, standard workflows, and organizational expectations
• Provide informal coaching and feedback to peers in the moment
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Identify trends, gaps, or recurring issues and communicate them to leadership
• Support quality improvement efforts through observation and feedback
• Act as a liaison between frontline staff and supervisors/leadership
• Escalate concerns appropriately while maintaining a solutions-focused mindset
• Help translate organizational priorities into day-to-day actions
• Acts as a hands on working leader, with 16 hours of designated administrative time each month to support team and operational needs.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.

Equivalent to four years high school or GED


EXPERIENCE GENERAL
19 to 23 months related experience and/or training.
