Senior Digital Product Specialist

Job Description

  • Act as a senior hands-on digital product specialist for assigned digital learning platforms and internal tools, taking ownership from requirement clarification through solution delivery, release and post-launch support.
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Product Management, system analyst, product managers, editorial teams, UX/UI designers, vendors and Group Technology to translate educational and business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Analyze platform needs, user journeys, data flows, integration points and operational constraints, then propose feasible solution options with clear implications on cost, timeline, maintainability and user experience.
  • Configure, enhance and maintain digital product features, user interfaces, service workflows, data handling logic and integration components using appropriate modern web, cloud and automation technologies.
  • Support API, SSO, entitlement, content delivery, reporting and third-party platform integrations, including LMS and education technology interoperability where required.
  • Contribute to AI-enabled product initiatives by researching suitable technologies, preparing prototypes or proof-of-concepts, supporting technical evaluation, and helping integrate approved AI services into product workflows.
  • Prepare technical specifications, implementation notes, test scenarios, release checklists and support documentation to ensure knowledge can be shared and maintained within the team.
  • Coordinate with internal and external technical teams on cloud services, environment setup, release planning, troubleshooting, security review, performance tuning and production incident follow-up.
  • Carry out hands-on investigation and problem solving across user interface behaviour, service workflows, data issues, access control, browser/device compatibility and user-reported production issues.
  • Promote good technical practices in maintainability, accessibility, responsive design, system performance, security awareness, version control, testing discipline and release quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows through automation, reusable tools, templates, AI-assisted processes and operational streamlining.
