Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to partner with satellite clinics and provide human resources leadership and support to include, but not limited to, employee onboarding, employee documentation, HRIS administration, recruiting, and assisting clinic office managers with employment topics.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports all core HR functions, including compliance, benefits administration, payroll processing, and general HR operations.
  • Assists with new employee orientation to include completion of required documentation and forms, time cards, security badges, and coordinating training.
  • Creates, maintains, and reviews personnel files to keep compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinates special events including employee birthdays, holiday get-togethers, employee anniversaries, and other special events.
  • Processes employee resignations.
  • Maintains Employee Handbook.
  • Arranges for employee training.
  • Maintains and reports department metrics.
  • Ensures patient and employee confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Promotes a professional image by adhering to the established dress code as listed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Assists co-workers as needed.
  • Recognizes when others are in need of assistance, information, or direction and offers to help when able or find someone who can.
  • Maintains emotional control and diplomacy at all times.
  • Maintains open and positive lines of communication.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Submits weekly status report when applicable.
  • Coordinates employees at satellite clinic locations.
  • Makes occasional visits as required to satellite clinic locations.
  • Displays the Catalyst values of Passionate, Adaptable, Integrity, Ally, and All-In.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Travel:

Travel may be required.


Scheduled Working Hours:

Scheduled work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending upon the needs of the position, department, and business.

Equipment Operated:

Standard office equipment including computers, printers, faxes, copiers, postage machines, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum two years experience in a human resource position, preferably in the dental field.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current benefits and administration requirements (preferred).
  • Knowledge of payroll and employment documentation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance requirements relevant to dental practices (preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Skill in working with computers and computer applications.
  • Skill in clear presentation of benefits information.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel including physicians, managers, and other staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information in a professional manner.
  • Effective time management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work well with internal and external staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to meet project needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment in both a lead and support role.
  • Ability to work independently within the context of a plan.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet unpredictable deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Willingness to travel and work (at times) irregular hours.
  • Proficient knowledge of Gmail, Google Workspace, and Google Drive.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to drive to dental clinics in the region.


Physical Requirements:

  • Physical ability to withstand the stress and demands of an active position.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, perform data entry, and view a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, vision, and hearing.
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards.
  • Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals, radiation, and increased noise levels.
  • Daily standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering.
  • May require lifting up to 50 pounds or more to transfer and/or turn patient with and without assistive devices.
