Schedule Hours: M & F 9am to 5:30PM and Tuesday-Thursday 11am-7:30PM
What will you be doing?
Therapist QMHP are responsible for the provision of case management and counseling services to both adults and children/adolescents who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness, are Spanish speaking, or speak a second language. This is not the only population that the therapist will work with. Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents. Services are offered both onsite and, in the community/client home. Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours
- Provide effective individual, couples, & family counseling, as assigned
- Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
- Refer clients for community-based case management services as needed
- Provide case management services as medically necessary
- Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
- Meet minimum service provision/billing standards.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues

What will you bring to the table?
Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
License/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basis; Tolerance of unkempt home conditions of clients
Equipment:
- Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
- Copy machine
- Telephone with voice mail system
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evening hours
- Use of personal automobile
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies
- Maintain valid Illinois driver’s license
- Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier.
