
Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist II
Job Description
Essential Job Function:
- Performs benefits investigations for specified clinic or medications.
- Obtains insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
- Coordinates with manufacturer assistance programs for under/uninsured patients.
- Acts as a liaison between the patient, clinic and/or infusion center, pharmacy, third party payor, and/or drug manufacturer.
- Works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and care team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
