
Vascular Sonographer Inpatient Registered
Job Description
Essential Job Function:
- Performs vascular ultrasound examinations for accurate assessments to aid in the identification of vascular conditions and supports patient treatment planning.
- Analyzes test data, identifying abnormalities and relaying findings clearly to medical professionals in both verbal and written formats to contribute to informed medical decisions for vascular conditions and patient well-being.
- Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and promptly reporting any technical issues to facilitate continuous patient care.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, participating in discussions about patient cases, sharing insights, and contributing to comprehensive care plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 0-1 years in Healthcare; Ultrasound Training Program.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) from CCI or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT-VS) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); BLS (CPR) American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare provider.
